LIFE TESTIMONY

A testimony of renewal, family and mission

Aaron An’s story moves from a rural house church and years of hardship toward renewal in Chiang Mai and a calling to build stable medical mission teams.

01

Faith formed in a rural home

Known to his church community as Aaron, he began attending church with his parents at the age of two. His father hosted a house church in their Henan home, where worshippers sat on long boards supported by red bricks. Prayer, testimony and shared life formed his earliest faith memories.

02

A long road from poverty

His family relied mainly on grain and livestock for income. Aaron left school before completing junior high and began working independently at 15, travelling through several regions of China before moving to Chiang Mai in February 2014.

03

A season of renewal

In 2021, business failure, health concerns and conflict within his marriage brought him to a personal low point. From September 2021 to September 2022, a Christian disciple accompanied him through prayer, Bible study and reflection. Aaron testifies that his values changed, his marriage began to heal and he found renewed direction in Christ.

04

Serving together in Chiang Mai

Aaron and his wife, Han Han, became more deeply involved in church and community ministry. Han Han serves through children’s Sunday school and volunteer Chinese-language education. Aaron hosts house fellowship and assists with prayer gatherings and service leadership.

05

A vision for sustained medical mission

Serving alongside Dr. Luke Sun, Aaron saw both the value of compassionate healthcare and the difficulty apprentices face when financial pressure prevents long-term training. He helped initiate Mustard Seed Rescue Center to support stable teams, local partnerships and sustained formation among underserved communities.
